OUTER BANKS

Finally made it back to the east coast to see the family in Virginia, and make a trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina (a series of barrier islands just off the mainland).  We also had the chance to hop the ferry and head over to Ocracoke, a small island community south of Cape Hatteras.  The weather was hot which was a bit of a relief from the still chilly Pacific Northwest in early spring. Perfect for exploring the natural and manmade landscapes the islands had to offer.
