INGALLS CREEK

Some images from this past weekend's hike along Ingalls Creek trail in Wahington State's Wenatchee National Forest.  The trailhead is about 13 miles from Leavenworth, WA and ascends upstream.  We made it a 10 mile round trip, and found these moments along the way.  The region is experiencing the same wet spring as we are in Portland.  Combine that with the snow melt, and the creek was more like a raging river.  With all the rain the forest was dense with life, and the wild flowers in bloom.  Snow still capped the higher peaks despite the 70 degree weather.
